An Experience of a Lifetime

Venture Christian Church will be taking a weeklong mission trip next August to La Biznaga, Mexico. A few months ago, Venture raised nearly $40,000 to complete a hospital that was in the works there. The money went towards the roof made it so that the hospital was fully functional. You are invited to join us next year to see firsthand the work in the village and share the love of Jesus with others.

You might ask, “What is it like to go on a mission trip?” Allow me to tell you about a mission trip I went on nearly 15 years ago. We went to Haiti to work at a new hospital. We ran the pharmacy, learned to check vital signs, played with the kids, worshipped with the church, visited the villages, went to the markets, and made many lasting friendships.

You too can have the experience of a lifetime by making an impact on others. We invite you to attend an information meeting about this mission trip to Mexico. The meeting will take place this Sunday, December 5, at 12:30p in room 123. Attending this meeting is not a commitment to the trip, but simply an opportunity to receive more information.

Jon grew up on a farm in Ohio and graduated from Cincinnati Christian University. He joined Venture’s staff in 2011. Jon is passionate missions outreach and evangelism. In his spare time, Jon creates 3D photographs by cutting and layering multiple copies of a photo to create a three-dimensional appearance. He also enjoys riding his bike. Jon has been married to Cheryl for 40+ years. They have two children and five grandchildren. Fun fact: Jon has an identical twin brother who is also a minister.
