Marina Andrews
Next Gen Resident
Marina grew up in Carmel and is proud to be a Venture Preschool alum! Marina is currently studying psychology at IUPUI, and as a busy college student, she loves coffee in all shapes and forms. She can usually be found with some sort of fun beverage in hand! Marina is passionate about creating a space where kids and students can be themselves, embrace their goofiness, and ask life’s tough questions—free from the pressures of school and peers. She also has a strong passion for missions work, driven by her desire to share her faith and serve others both locally and globally. In her spare time, she loves being outdoors, whether it's hiking, hammocking, or taking a peaceful walk, as she enjoys connecting with God through nature. Marina also has a love for travel and exploring new cultures. A fun fact: she is Egyptian and speaks Arabic!
Jana Caldwell
Office Manager
Jana grew up in Decatur, IL, and attended college at Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN. She joined the Venture staff in 2010. Jana enjoys reading, a good cup of coffee, going on hikes, playing games, and hanging out with family. She is definitely not a morning person but loves the beauty of God's sunrises. She is married to Daniel, and they have three adult kids and two cats.
Joy Fehl
Children's Pastor
Joy grew up in Columbus, OH and is a graduate of Cincinnati Christian University. She joined the staff at Venture in April 2021. In addition to her passion for helping kids learn about Jesus, she is also interested in international missions. She loves being outdoors, running for exercise and fun, and throwing the frisbee with her husband, Addison. The Fehls love watching movies, and their Christmas tradition is to watch The Lord of the Rings Trilogy every Christmas!
Becca Gentis
Ministry Assistant - Next Gen
Becca grew up in Tampa Bay and Orlando, Florida and is a graduate of Kentucky Christian University. Her passion is serving others and being with people. She has been teaching in some capacity for the last 15 years, as well being a stay-at-home mom. She and her husband, Kit, have four daughters and have attended Venture since 2014. During her college years, she spent summers and holidays working at Walt Disney World. She and her family love watching Disney and Star Wars films together, as well as building Legos. Interesting fact: as a child, her family lived in Campinas, Brazil as missionaries with Christian Mission Fellowship (CMF).
Kit Gentis
Facilities Director
Kit grew up near Bluffton Indiana. He graduated from Indiana State University after serving in the Army and joined the Venture staff in the spring of 2022. His background is in construction, and he has experience in leading volunteers and construction projects on disaster fields throughout the nation. Kit is a fan of Star Wars, reading, and playing video games. Kit and his wife Becca have four daughters and they love enjoying the beach and their small group communities.
Jake Harp
Discipleship Pastor
Jake is a native of Illinois where he first learned about ministry by watching his dad work in the church. He has earned degrees from Missouri Southern State University and Lincoln Christian University. Prior to starting at Venture during the summer of 2022, he served as a Small Groups Minister in Southwestern Missouri. While in Missouri, he and his wife began growing their family and moved to Hamilton County with three kids and one on the way. Jake also has a love for ax throwing which caused him to open up his own mobile ax-throwing business.
Carolyn Johnson
Communications Director
Carolyn grew up in a military family and has lived all over the country, but is happy to call Indiana her new home. She has a degree in Film & Media Arts from Taylor University, where she met her husband, Reece. Her hobbies include sewing, decorating cookies, and watching movies or football with Reece (and their basset hound, Fred). A fun fact about Carolyn is that she wrote 3 full-length novels in middle school!
Tony Johnson
Pastoral Care Pastor
Tony grew up in Albion, IL, and graduated from Lincoln Christian University and Illinois State University. He became Venture’s Children’s Pastor in August 2003. Tony’s passion is the spiritual growth of children and guiding kids and their families to personal relationships with Jesus. He enjoys history and likes to work in his yard and around the house. Tony and his wife, Mary, have four grown children, two of whom are married, and two grandchildren! Something that you may not know about Tony: he spent three years teaching on the mission field in Puerto Rico…where he met Mary!
Stan Killebrew
Lead Pastor
Stan grew up in Illinois and attended Lincoln Christian University in Lincoln, IL, before making his way to Indiana. He became Venture’s Lead Pastor in March 2019. His spiritual gifts include preaching, teaching, and leading. His spiritual “pathway” is Creation. He enjoys being a Daddy to five kiddos, hanging out with his wife, Dawn, being an outdoorsman, woodworking, and reading. Stan has a little-known talent: he can recite the prepositions in order while standing on his head. Both are skills that he acquired in the fourth grade!
Kimberlee Moody
Student Worship Resident
Kimberlee grew up in a lakeside northern Michigan small town with her parents and is the youngest of four girls. She is an alumna of Anderson University, where she met her fiancé David, and graduated with honors in Worship Arts. She is passionate about deep worship experiences and using music and the arts as an avenue to bring ourselves closer to God. Something you might not guess about her is she also uses her training in the arts to teach dance! In her spare time, you can usually find her writing, singing, or playing music.
Nolan Peterson
Maintenance Assistant
Nolan joined our summer staff helping to clean our preschool facility. Representing the third generation of Venture members in his family, he has a keen awareness of the ins and outs of our facility. Outside of school and work, Nolan can be found making something good to eat or working on an art project.
Shaylee Redmon
Community Pastor
Shaylee grew up in small-town-Missouri, complete with one stoplight and a Casey's General Store. After studying Intercultural Studies and Biblical Justice at Ozark Christian College, she married her bestie, Spencer (a Venture native) in a "COVID wedding" over ZOOM. They moved to Noblesville in July of 2020. Shaylee enjoys working out with her 6am CrossFit Crew, riding four-wheelers, and eating the delicious BBQ Spencer crafts on the weekends.
Jason Robinson
Maintenance Assistant
Jason grew up in Kentland Indiana. He attended Ivy Tech majoring in computer science, and joined the Venture staff in September 2022. His work background is in cleaning and apartment maintenance. Jason enjoys computer building, playing video games, horror movies, and fishing.
Caleb Rogers
Worship Pastor
Caleb grew up in Anderson, Indiana and has served as a Worship Pastor in the Milwaukee area over the past 10 years before joining our staff in 2023. Caleb and His wife Anna have been married since 2014 and have two kids, Foster and Raelynn. Caleb connects with God best through music and nature, and he enjoys his time most when it's spent with people. If you see him outside of Venture, he will probably be outside with his family, running, playing disc golf, or doing a house project. A unique fact about Caleb: before being called into ministry, he was enrolled in classes to be a turbodiesel mechanic.
Jackson Sandala
Video Director
Jackson grew up in Indianapolis and graduated from IUPUI. He joined Venture in late 2020. He is married to Sam and enjoys sharing stories through video. He'll take any opportunity to go hiking, roller blading, or to hang out with friends! Want to know an interesting thing about Jackson? He collects old cameras.
Bill Scheibelhut
Ministry Assistant - Adult Ministries
Bill grew up on the East and North sides of Indy, attending Cathedral HS and, eventually, Purdue University. He spent 30 years in Kokomo working at Delco Electronics and the next five at Pioneer Hybrid Seeds in Tipton, where he met his wife, Christy. After leaving Pioneer in 2015, he spent eight years at AgReliant Genetics in Westfield. Bill and Christy currently reside in Noblesville and have been attending Venture since early 2016. Between them, they have five kids, nine grandkids, and five great-grandkids, all in the Kokomo-Greentown-Peru area. Bill enjoys spending time with his family, working outside and hopes to work on his disc golf game this year.
Daniel Shelton
Executive Pastor
Daniel grew up on the west side of Indianapolis. He graduated from Ozark Christian College and Lincoln Christian University. He joined Venture in June 2019. He is gifted with using systems and processes to help the church accomplish our mission. If a tool, resource, or process makes the church better and helps real people to encounter their living Savior, it’s worth waking up for! Daniel and his wife, Emily, love the theater and enjoy catching any local or traveling show. They have two daughters and like to spend time as a family camping in their popup camper, affectionately nicknamed “Peggy”.
Heidi Siitari
Associate Children’s Pastor
Heidi grew up in Southern Illinois and attended the University of Illinois – Champaign. She has attended Venture since 2001 and became VCC’s Associate Children’s Pastor in 2013. She truly enjoys teaching children about Jesus. She loves spending time with her family and reading in her free time. You may not know this, but Heidi is a part-time art teacher for all grades at Legacy Christian School in Noblesville.
Jake Smith
Student Pastor
Jake grew up in Carmel, IN, and attended Taylor University before joining the Venture staff in August 2018. He loves spending time connecting with God through the outdoors and by diving into scripture. Jake enjoys participating in, talking about, and watching all types of sports and physical competitions. In his free time, he is working on house projects with his wife, Jeanine, and playing in the backyard with their dog, Ollie. He and his wife love hanging out with friends at their home and having fierce board game competitions. Unique fact about Jake: he was born with one kidney!
Kay Wolford
Financial Administrator
Kay grew up in Rockville, IN, and attended both Indiana State University and Lincoln Christian University. She joined the staff at Venture in 1996. Her spiritual interests include missions and worship. She enjoys reading, gardening, and traveling to the mountains. Kay is married to Rick, and they have two grown children and five grandkids. If you didn’t know, Kay has been going on mission trips to Honduras since 2005. She loves the missionaries and the Hondurans there and seeing the improvements in their lives, both physical and spiritual, over the years.
