Child Dedication
Sunday, May 12
Child Dedication
Leader: Heidi Siitari |
Child Dedication is a powerful time for you, as parents, to embrace the responsibility you’ve been given by God and to catch a vision of the impact you can make in your child’s life, as well as to celebrate that you don't have to do it alone! We want to invite families with children ages 0-4 to participate in our Child Dedication event on Mother's Day, May 12th. If you have a new infant or are new to our Venture family with children in this age range, we'd like to honor your family's commitment on stage, so please register to join us during either the 9:30a or 11a service. The deadline to sign up is May 6.
Child Dedication Frequently Asked Questions
How much does Child Dedication cost?
There is no cost to participate in Child Dedication.
How many people can I invite?
Feel free to invite as many people as you would like!
What do I need to do between now and the day of the celebration?
Invite your friends and family. We encourage you to watch two short videos in preparation for the event.
What do I need to bring with me?
Your friends, family, and child (don’t forget them at home!)
What time should we arrive and where should we meet?
15 minutes before service start time, we will meet in the NURSERY area just so that I can meet everyone and answer any questions about the service.
What should we wear?
Whatever you and your little one will feel most comfortable in! Some people dress casually in jeans, while others wear more formal attire.
Is this an infant baptism?
No. We believe that a child must be old enough to understand what it means to put their faith in Jesus Christ before they can be baptized. This event is an opportunity for you as parents to publicly declare that you want to raise your child to develop their own relationship with Jesus Christ.
What can I expect on the day of the celebration?
During the beginning of service, we will ask our Child Dedication families to come up on the stage. We will share your names and picture of your child. Both our Lead Pastor, Stan, and Student Pastor, Jake Smith will be on stage to pray for you. After the dedication is over, you may use our children’s programming or keep your little one with you in service.
If you've already planned to participate, be sure to watch these two videos to prepare for Child Dedication.
