Dough Holy Night

Leader: Joy Fehl |

Can you believe it? It’s almost here—Christmas is right around the corner!

There is so much joy surrounding this season, but there can also be a lot of chaos! There are decorations to put up, parties to throw, and presents to purchase. It’s so easy to let the entire month of December fly past us and totally forget why we celebrate Christmas. That’s why Venture's Next Gen Team is hosting “Dough Holy Night”.

This is a fun and interactive experience designed for your family to do at home anytime from December 12th-17th. Together you’ll bake a batch of Christmas cookies and, along the way, hear the story of the very first Christmas. Best of all, there are different resources for each age group (birth-elementary, 7th-12th grade) that will walk your family step-by-step through the experience. It’s so simple!

Even though this is an at-home experience, we want to share it as a community! So be sure to join our Venture Kids Parents and Venture Students Parent Facebook groups to post pictures of your kids in action in the comments. And don’t forget that Jesus is a gift worth sharing, so if you feel comfortable, invite your "one" and their family to experience this amazing story with you!

For those in the Children's Ministry, look under the Christmas tree by Children's Check-In starting December 6th, grab your cookie plate package that includes a recipe card, invites, and your Family Discussion Guide to start planning your "Dough Holy Night" experience! For those in the Student Ministry, stop by the Parent Resource Wall next to the Student Center, scan our QR code, and save the discussion guide and cookie recipe! There will also be physical copies available in the Student Center.
